A poem

Aprendemos una poesía en inglés sobre el tiempo.

English Weather

Sometimes we say,
“What a beautiful day!
We could go to the park
and stay until dark,
and laugh and have fun,
or lie in the sun!”

Or else we complain:
“Just look at the rain!
It´s too wet to go out –
we’ll just sit about
and pretend we don’t care
that it’s raining out there.”

And maybe there’s thunder
and lightning, and under
umbrellas we try
to stay comfy and dry
and walk very fast
until the storm’s passed.

But sometimes it’s foggy
and everything’s soggy
and chilly and grey
and it won’t go away,
so we can’t see the sky
or the cars going by.

Or perhaps we say, “Oh! –
it’s starting to snow!
The cold wind is swirling
the white flakes, they’re twirling
and whirling around
without making a sound!”
